Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the LogbookOS platform across all Clusters. It applies to every account, every user, and every server instance. This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.

Last updated: March 2026 Version 2.0 Effective: March 2026

1. Scope & Application

1.1 This AUP applies to all users of the LogbookOS platform, including account holders, Workspace members, dependent members (e.g. students on the EDU Cluster), and any individual who accesses or interacts with the Platform in any capacity.

1.2 This AUP governs use across all Clusters operated under the LogbookOS brand, including Work, EDU, DIY, and any future Clusters. Each Cluster may have additional usage rules documented in its Service Appendix, which supplement (but do not override) this AUP.

1.3 By creating an account or using any LogbookOS service, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1.4 In this AUP, capitalised terms have the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Service unless stated otherwise.

2. General Conduct

2.1 You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and these policies. LogbookOS is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform providing AI-powered productivity, education, and project management tools. It must be used accordingly.

2.2 You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by Workspace members or dependent members you have invited or added. If you are a Workspace administrator or educator, you must ensure that all members of your Workspace comply with this AUP.

2.3 You agree to act in good faith, treat other users and our support team with respect, and use the Platform in a manner consistent with its intended purpose.

Per-server rules

3. Intended Use Per Server

Each Cluster is purpose-built for a specific audience. While the core tools are the same, the intended use — and therefore the acceptable use — varies by server.

Work Server

Intended for: Professionals, freelancers, small teams, and businesses organising their operations.

Acceptable use: Project management, task tracking, team coordination, business documentation, invoicing preparation, client project management, AI-assisted productivity.

Account model: Workspace owner purchases Usage Packs and sets usage caps for team members.

EDU Server

Intended for: Educators, students, makers-in-training, thesis groups, and competition teams learning through structured, hands-on projects.

Acceptable use: Project-based learning, curriculum-guided work, coursework documentation, skill development, robotics team coordination, thesis project management.

Account model: Educator purchases Usage Packs and sets usage caps for students. Students use the platform at no cost.

DIY Server

Intended for: Independent makers, hobbyists, and builders working on personal projects — 3D printing, electronics, drones, woodworking, and any hands-on creation.

Acceptable use: Personal project management, build documentation, learning from project libraries, using AI tools for design and planning, tracking materials and progress.

Account model: One account, one user. You buy and use everything directly.

Important

4. Platform Content & Disclaimer

LogbookOS provides tools, content, libraries, project templates, tutorials, and AI-powered features. This section explains what that content is — and what it is not.

4.1 Content provided “as is”. All content available on the Platform — including project templates, educational libraries, tutorial materials, knowledge bases, procedures, process guides, AI-generated outputs, and downloadable resources — is provided “as is” and “as available” for informational and educational purposes. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or timeliness of any content.

4.2 Not professional advice. Platform content does not constitute and must not be relied upon as professional, legal, financial, medical, engineering, safety, or regulatory advice. Content is designed to guide, educate, and inspire — not to replace qualified professional judgement. If your project involves safety-critical decisions, regulatory compliance, or professional liability, you must consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

Physical project safety (DIY & EDU). Many projects on the DIY and EDU servers involve physical activities such as 3D printing, soldering, electronics assembly, drone building, woodworking, and other hands-on work. LogbookOS provides project guides, step-by-step instructions, and reference materials to support these activities. However, you are solely responsible for your own safety and for following all applicable safety regulations, manufacturer instructions, and best practices when executing any physical project. Em.Skoulikaris LLC is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the execution of any project guided by Platform content.

4.3 AI-generated content. The Platform includes AI-powered features that generate text, suggestions, and analysis based on your inputs. AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or biases. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and deciding whether to act on any AI-generated output. AI features are productivity tools — they do not replace human expertise, professional judgement, or critical thinking.

4.4 Third-party references. Platform content may reference third-party products, services, brands, tools, or techniques (e.g. specific 3D printer models, software tools, electronic components). These references are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee. We are not affiliated with, and bear no responsibility for, third-party products or services mentioned in Platform content.

4.5 Your responsibility. By using the Platform and its content, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of any content, template, or AI output for your specific situation
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards when acting on Platform content
  • You are responsible for any outcomes, including physical, financial, or legal consequences, resulting from your use of Platform content
  • You will not hold Em.Skoulikaris LLC liable for any loss, injury, damage, or claim arising from your reliance on Platform content

4.6 Content updates. We may update, modify, or remove Platform content at any time without notice. Content that was available at the time of your purchase or access may be modified or removed in subsequent updates. Premium Library content is maintained for the duration described in the Terms of Service, but specific details within the content may be updated to reflect current best practices.

5. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Platform to engage in, facilitate, or support any of the following activities:

5.1 Illegal or harmful activity

  • Violating any applicable local, national, EU, or international law or regulation
  • Engaging in fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other financial crime
  • Infringing the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of third parties
  • Harassing, threatening, defaming, or discriminating against any person
  • Distributing or promoting illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, or content that promotes terrorism

  • Performing denial-of-service attacks or any action that degrades Platform availability for other users

5.3 Reverse engineering & extraction

  • Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Platform using automated tools without our prior written consent
  • Copying, reproducing, or creating derivative works from Platform features, design, or content

5.4 Resale & unauthorised distribution

6. AI Feature Usage Rules

6.1 The Platform includes AI-powered features that consume Project Units from your AI Compute pool. These features are provided as productivity and learning aids and are subject to the following additional rules.

6.2 You must not use AI features to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
  • Generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents
  • Generate deceptive or misleading content, including deepfakes, fake reviews, impersonation content, or disinformation
  • Generate spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or bulk automated communications
  • Circumvent content safety filters or guardrails built into the AI models
  • Attempt to extract or reconstruct the underlying AI model weights, training data, or system prompts
  • Use AI output to make automated decisions that materially affect individuals without human review, particularly in areas such as employment, lending, insurance, or legal matters

6.3 You acknowledge that AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and deciding whether to rely on any AI-generated output. AI features do not replace professional judgement, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or any other professional service.

6.4 We reserve the right to limit, modify, or discontinue specific AI features at any time, including adjusting consumption rates, applying rate limits, or restricting access to certain AI operations where we determine that usage patterns threaten Platform stability or violate this AUP.

7. Project Unit Integrity

7.1 Usage Packs provide metered access to Platform services. Project Units are service-consumption measurements only. They are not currency, stored value, e-money, or financial instruments of any kind.

7.2 You must not:

  • Circumvent, manipulate, or attempt to bypass usage metering, quota limits, or any access controls
  • Exploit bugs, errors, or vulnerabilities to obtain service access without a corresponding deduction from your Project Unit balance
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to artificially inflate, deflate, or otherwise manipulate consumption records
  • Attempt to trade, sell, auction, or create a secondary market for Project Units
  • Advertise, represent, or treat Project Units as having monetary value outside the Platform
  • Transfer, gift, or share Project Units between unrelated accounts or Workspaces except through the internal team allocation features described in the Terms of Service, Section 7.7
  • Transfer Project Units between Clusters or between regions

7.3 Any attempt to undermine Project Unit integrity is a material breach of the Terms of Service and may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all remaining Project Units, and, where applicable, legal action.

8. Content Standards

8.1 You retain ownership of all Content you upload, create, or store on the Platform, as described in the Terms of Service, Section 15. However, all Content must comply with this AUP.

8.2 You must not upload, create, store, or transmit through the Platform any Content that:

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party
  • Contains personal data of third parties without a lawful basis under GDPR or other applicable data protection legislation
  • Is defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or promotes violence or discrimination
  • Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Is deceptive or designed to mislead

8.3 We do not pre-screen Content, but we reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to Content that we reasonably believe violates this AUP, the Terms of Service, or applicable law. We will notify you if we take action against your Content, except where notification is prohibited by law or would compromise an investigation.

9. Security & System Integrity

9.1 You must take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and prevent unauthorised access. This includes:

  • Not sharing login credentials with unauthorised individuals
  • Notifying us immediately at security@logbookos.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account
  • Using strong, unique passwords where supported
  • Logging out of sessions on shared or public devices

9.2 You must not:

  • Test Platform security or attempt penetration testing without prior written authorisation from Em.Skoulikaris LLC
  • Use the Platform to host, distribute, or facilitate phishing campaigns or social engineering attacks
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other users or Workspaces
  • Overwhelm Platform resources with excessive requests, bulk operations, or any automated activity that exceeds reasonable usage patterns

9.3 Responsible disclosure. If you discover a security vulnerability, we encourage responsible disclosure. Please report it to security@logbookos.com and allow us reasonable time to investigate and patch the issue before disclosing it publicly. We will not take legal action against individuals who discover and report vulnerabilities in good faith and in accordance with this responsible disclosure provision.

10. Reporting, Enforcement & Changes

10.1 Reporting violations. If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it to security@logbookos.com. Include as much detail as possible. Reports can be submitted anonymously, although providing your contact information helps us follow up. We will not retaliate against any user who submits a good-faith report.

10.2 Enforcement. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may, at our sole discretion, take one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning — a written notice identifying the violation and requiring immediate corrective action
  • Content removal — removal or disabling of Content that violates this AUP
  • Feature restriction — limiting your access to specific Platform features
  • Temporary suspension — suspending your account or Workspace for a specified period
  • Permanent termination — terminating your account in accordance with the Terms of Service, Section 21
  • Forfeiture of Project Units — forfeiture of all remaining Project Units without refund
  • Legal action — pursuing civil or criminal remedies where applicable

10.3 Proportionality. The severity of enforcement action will be proportionate to the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation. Minor or first-time violations will typically receive a warning with an opportunity to correct the behaviour. Serious violations — including any attempt to undermine Project Unit integrity, gain unauthorised access, or engage in illegal activity — may result in immediate termination without prior warning.

10.4 Legal reporting. Where we are required by law to report illegal activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities, we will do so. We may also cooperate with law enforcement investigations and disclose information as required by applicable law or valid legal process.

10.5 Changes to this AUP. We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or best practices. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform. The current version of this AUP is always available at logbookos.com/acceptable-use.
